Loyverse POS supports printer-driven cash drawers. This means the cash drawer is connected directly to a receipt printer, and the printer is connected to the Loyverse POS app. When a sale is completed or the cash drawer is triggered, the printer sends a signal to open the drawer.
Cash Drawer Compatibility
Loyverse does not require a specific brand of cash drawer. You can use any cash drawer that is compatible with your receipt printer.
To confirm compatibility:
- Check the cash drawer’s manual or specifications.
- Visit the manufacturer’s website.
- Verify that the cash drawer is designed to be driven by your specific receipt printer model.
Important Technical Requirements
⚠️ Power voltage must match
The receipt printer and the cash drawer must operate at the same voltage:
- 12 V or
- 24 V
If the printer and cash drawer use different voltages, they will not be compatible and may fail to work or become damaged.
This setup ensures reliable cash drawer operation during sales and cash transactions.
