Sales by Item Report in the Back Office

The Sales by Item report helps you analyze how individual items perform over a selected period, including sales volume, revenue, costs, and profitability.

Accessing the Report

In the Back Office, go to Reports → Sales by item.

Selecting a Time Period

At the top of the page, choose the reporting period:

  • Today
  • Yesterday
  • This week
  • This month
  • Custom period

Overview Section

At the top of the report, you’ll see a summary of your item sales:

  • The top 5 items are displayed based on Net sales
  • Each item shows its total Net sales for the selected period

Sales by Item Chart

On the right side, the Sales by item chart visualizes item performance.

You can:

  • Switch between Bar, Line, or Pie charts
  • Group data by Hours, Days, Weeks, Months, Quarters, or Years

 

Detailed Data Table

Below the chart, a detailed table displays sales data for each item.

You can:

  • Customize visible columns by clicking the three-line icon on the right side of the table header

  • Sort items by any column


Available Report Parameters

  • SKU – Stock Keeping Unit, a unique identifier for each item (See details in How to Add Items in the Loyverse Back Office)
  • Category – The category assigned to the item
  • Items sold – Total quantity sold during the selected period
  • Gross sales – Total revenue before discounts and refunds (See details in Sales Summary Report in the Back Office)
  • Items refunded – Total quantity of refunded items
  • Refunds – Total refunded amount
  • Discounts – Total discounts applied to the item
  • Net sales – Revenue after discounts and refunds 
    Net Sales = Gross Sales − Discounts − Refunds
  • Cost of goods – Cost of the item
  • Gross profit – Profit after deducting item costs 
    Gross Profit = Net Sales − Cost of Goods
  • Margin – Profit margin of the item

  • Taxes – Total taxes applied to the item

     

Exporting the Report

You can export the Sales by Item report for the selected period:

  • Click the Export button above the table
    ‘Export’ button
  • The report is downloaded as a CSV file
  • Open the file in Google Sheets, Excel, or similar spreadsheet tools

 

Note:
In the free version, access to sales reports is limited to the last 31 days only.
Exporting sales reports is also unavailable in the free version.
